My favourite part of a cruise is:

Enjoying yourself on Vacation

Beach

You're on vacation so you want to be able to relax and enjoy yourself. But in order to do this you need to stay safe and out of trouble.

Unfortunately tourists are a prime target for criminals in just about every country in the world. As a group they tend to be relaxed and happy, are generally unguarded about what they do and say, can often fall prey to the demon drink and therefore be even more vulnerable, and they usually carry lots of cash, plastic, and valuable cameras and cell-phones.

But there is a great deal that you can do to keep yourself safe and join the millions and millions of people who have enjoyable vacations. Follow the Golden Rules and the detailed hints and tips and you'll stand a much better chance of avoiding trouble.

The Five Golden Rules for Safe and Secure Vacations

Be aware - These two words sum up everything about having a great vacation. Be aware of what is around you at all times.

Blend in - If you can, and it is easier said than done, try not to appear too much of a tourist and certainly try not to appear too wealthy.

Stay competent - Have a drink and enjoy yourself but don't allow yourself to become vulnerable by taking too much. Be in command of yourself all the time.

Cleanliness - Wash hands frequently and be careful with outdoor food

Respect where you are - Never forget that you are a guest in the country you are visiting and that it is only common decency to respect its laws and customs (however much you may disagree with them).

Remember that it is your own responsibility to be safe and secure. You should consider your and your companions’ safety and security at all times and take whatever legal steps are necessary to maintain them.
